If you haven't heard, a new version of Firefox (1.5) is now in public Beta (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/).
While playing with it, we noticed a little bit of a problem with its error messages. In the case that a lookup happens but the site does not respond, you get an error message that instinctively made me think, "Hey, what's this proxy server error message doing here!?!??!":
If you read along, you will see a brief mention of Firefox -- which helps indicate it is a browser error message -- but it isn't clear.
In the case of a standard “not found”, error you will get:

This does provide a bit more indication of the error message's origin. Of course, we should be happy that Firefox really is taking the time to make more readable and user friendly error messages. That is really on the right track as far as Port80 is concerned.
