Respect your elder dot com names

“Dot what?“, my grandmother asked in '96.  Now, you are lucky to find a good six-letter .TV domain.

Back in the day, errr 1980's, you could get some choice dot com names.  We came across this list that tells you the oldest domains still registered, a nice piece of trivia:

http://www.jottings.com/100-oldest-dot-com-domains.htm

If contingency domains ever catch on, there will be a whole new race to GoDaddy.com, etc.  Here is a good piece on next gen URLs that covers contingency domains and other URL formation techniques.

Enjoy the list, folks!
